第四届光学与光电子学国际会议将于2012年5月21日至23日在中国上海召开。 会议由IEEE光电子学会、IEEE武汉分会、武汉大学、工程信息研究院等多所高校和研究机构共同举办。将聚集亚太、北美、欧洲乃至全世界知名专家及学者，共同探讨光学和光电子学领域的新成果及新议题。SOPO迄今已经成功召开三届，每届均在会后短期内被Ei核心检索。
会议论文集将由IEEE出版，所有被收录的会议论文将被Ei和ISTP双检索。
会议的部分优秀论文（扩展后）将推荐到相关SCI或Ei期刊上发表。
